The Roomba Max 705 Combo, a new robot vacuum from iRobot, features a unique, automatically deploying mop cover designed to prevent carpets from getting wet. Unlike other robovacs with roller mops, the Roomba Max 705 Combo's cover, seemingly a plastic shield, extends around the mop roller when on carpets. The robovac also boasts extended mop reach for corners and walls, anti-tangle brushes, lidar navigation, and obstacle avoidance.

Paired with an AutoWash Dock offering heated mop cleaning, drying, auto-emptying, and auto-refilling for up to 75 days, the Roomba Max 705 Combo is priced at €1099 (~$1,292 USD). Currently available only in Europe, iRobot plans a North American and Japanese release later this year.
