Indian police in Uttar Pradesh state arrested 47-year-old Harshvardhan Jain for allegedly operating a fraudulent embassy from a rented building near Delhi. Jain, who presented himself as an ambassador to fictitious entities like “Seborga” and “Westarctica,” is accused of defrauding individuals by promising overseas employment. Police recovered approximately 4.5m Indian rupees ($52,095) in cash, foreign currencies, four cars with fake diplomatic plates, and numerous forged documents, including photographs depicting Jain with world leaders and fake seals from India's foreign ministry and other countries. He faces charges of forgery, impersonation, and money laundering.

Jain's rented premises were decorated with flags from various nations. Police officer Sushil Ghule of the Uttar Pradesh special taskforce led the investigation. Neither Jain nor his lawyer could be reached for comment.
