A new photograph of Prince George was released by Kensington Palace on his 12th birthday. The photo, taken in Norfolk earlier this year by photographer Josh Shinner, shows a smiling Prince George in a rural setting. The Prince and Princess of Wales shared the image on social media with the message "Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George!"

Speculation continues regarding Prince George's secondary school choice, with Eton College a potential option. Despite efforts by his parents to provide a normal family life at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate, Prince George's childhood has been largely in the public eye. Recent public appearances include attending Wimbledon with his parents, appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony for Trooping the Colour, and meeting veterans at a VE Day tea party. He has also attended Aston Villa football matches with his father.
